WHO ARE WE?

Transatlantic D is a specialized operator of non-intrusive cargo inspection services within the port ecosystem. Our mandate is to provide customs authorities and port stakeholders with objective, technology-driven control capabilities that strengthen regulatory enforcement without disrupting legitimate commercial flows.

Through the deployment of WCO-compliant scanning technologies and structured control protocols, Transatlantic D enables the identification of concealed, undeclared, misclassified, or otherwise non-compliant cargo. Our operations cover import, export, and transit cargo and are conducted as a mandatory step fully embedded in official port and customs procedures.

Each control operation generates secure and traceable outputs designed to support customs analysis, verification, and decision-making. In doing so, Transatlantic D contributes to enhanced enforcement consistency, improved operational visibility, and safer port operations.

AT THE HEART OF THE NATIONAL STRATEGY

The ports of Douala-Bonabéri and Kribi handle more than 80% of Cameroon’s national and regional freight, placing them at the center of the country’s economic sovereignty and trade competitiveness.

In response to evolving security threats, revenue leakages, and international compliance requirements, Transatlantic D is implementing a sovereign, modern, and WCO-aligned cargo control system. This initiative supports ongoing customs reforms and aligns with the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards, reinforcing Cameroon’s capacity to secure its borders while facilitating legitimate trade.

By modernizing inspection processes and introducing advanced non-intrusive control capabilities, Transatlantic D contributes to the protection of public revenues, the modernization of port procedures, and the strengthening of Cameroon’s position as a regional logistics and transit hub in sub-Saharan Africa. Our role is not peripheral — it is structural to the country’s port, customs, and trade-security architecture.

CLEAR GOVERNANCE

Transatlantic D operates under a structured Public–Private Partnership (PPP) framework, ensuring institutional oversight, transparency, and accountability across all operational levels.

Control activities are supported by a secure digital architecture designed to guarantee data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness. Scanning images and associated records are generated, transmitted, and stored within protected systems that prevent alteration, loss, or unauthorized access. This framework provides customs authorities with reliable and verifiable data suitable for operational use, reviews, and audits.

Through disciplined governance mechanisms and controlled technological processes, Transatlantic D establishes a transparent inspection environment that supports institutional trust, anti-corruption efforts, and sustainable regulatory oversight.

LOCAL EXPERTISE, GLOBAL STANDARDS

Transatlantic D operates at the intersection of local operational intelligence and international security benchmarks. Our teams of over 100 qualified local experts possess an in-depth understanding of port logistics, customs procedures, cargo flows, and regulatory realities specific to Cameroon’s port ecosystem. This operational proximity allows scanning activities to be deployed in a manner fully adapted to on-the-ground constraints and workflows.

At the same time, Transatlantic D’s equipment and inspection systems are engineered in accordance with World Customs Organization (WCO) frameworks and recommendations, ensuring consistency, interoperability, and long-term operational reliability. From image acquisition to secure archiving, every stage of the scanning chain is governed by internationally recognized standards and best practices.

This dual positioning enables Transatlantic D to deliver high-precision control outcomes while preserving the speed, predictability, and efficiency required for modern trade facilitation.
